(Our Formal Dining Room)
Formal Dining Spaces: Are they still a thing? I am curious as to what y’all think? This is our formal dining space and we have lived in our house for eight years and I can honestly say we have sat at this table for a meal less than five times…eeek…but I love the space. I do however use it often as a meeting space for my design clients because we can spread out a ton of fabric samples but other than that this room is just a space I love to walk by and look at. These days, life at our house revolves around our open concept kitchen and living room. On the rare occasion we aren’t running from cheer practice to soccer practice to whatever the activity might be that day; we are hanging where the food is being made and living room. We still sit and eat as family everyday; however we sit either at our kitchen island or dining nook which is part of the kitchen. I would love to know what y’all think; are formal dining spaces still a thing?
